Celebrating 25 Years of a Healthy Nation with Medicard Philippines

When I entered myself in the career world as a nurse, the word happy would not fit the situation where I am that time. You bet, it is very difficult for a nurse to find a job that would suit her degree. It has become a play of demand-and-supply chaos, with of course, the "supply" of nurses across the nation are very high (and increasing still) while the "demand" for them are very low.

Yes, very lucky me.
And more luckier and more fortunate to know that I did enter myself into an institution under Medicard Philippines, the pioneer HMO industry in the country.

Medicard Philippines can be rooted back after the setback from the 1986 EDSA Revolution. The concept of health maintenance organization or HMO was alien to most Filipinos, as what the president of Medicard Dr. Nicky S. Montoya have said. Medicard was born on this pioneering and charitable vision. To form the core of the business, Dr. Montoya enlisted the help of his doctor-friends, most of whom are reputable practitioners from some of the country's most distinguished medical centers. His father, Dr. Nicanor D. Montoya believed that that if a person could just put away this small sum of money daily, he could already afford hospitalization. Its mission was simply to provide quality comprehensive healthcare services to many Filipinos, at a cost they could afford.

Medicard, which mission is to provide quality comprehensive healthcare services to Filipinos at a cost they could afford, celebrated its 25 Years of Building a Healthy Nation last May 15 at Makati Shangri La hotel, Rizal Ballroom.

This symbolizes its rebirth after 25 years of being a pioneering HMO in the Philippines. This logo is a part of a corporate strategy that stresses the company's brand promise of giving the best healthcare possible available. The new logo also embodies Medicard's corporate culture.

I love the way you expressed what you experience that night more personal.
